News Death Notice

BEATTY, Carolyn June age 79, of Middletown, Ohio, went to be with her Lord on Friday, June 26, 2009 at Atrium Medical Center. She was born June 5, 1930 in Trotwood, Ohio and resided in Middletown all of her life. Carolyn was a homemaker and a member of the Springhill Church Of Christ. Preceding her in death were her parents, Ray C. and Mariam K. (Bowman) Lentz; and her husband Ralph "Shag" Beatty in 1995. She is survived by two children, Rita (Michael) Clark of Middletown and Dennis (Angela) Beatty of Middletown; five grandchildren, Misty (Jeff) Paynter, Miki Morgan, Krystle Beatty, Ridge Beatty and Robbie Beatty; four great grandchildren, Kayla, Jeffrey, Rayven and Conner; one sister, Rosanna Wilson of Dayton, Ohio; and her lifelong friend, Mary Griffin of West Elkton, Ohio. Visitation will be private at the convenience of the family at Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown. Private graveside services at the convenience of the family will be at Butler County Memorial Park, Trenton, Ohio, with Senior Minister Bob Stacy officiating. Interment will follow. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown.

 

Monroe Alumni Lunch at the Golden Corral., Middletown, the second Monday of each month. We meet at 1:00PM when senior citizens receive a discount and free beverages. Next luncheon: July 13th.

Stop at the Verity Pky. McDonalds Wednesday mornings at 9:00 for coffee with the guys.

Roger and Lila Stewart (48) will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on August 8, 2009 with an open house from 2:00-5:00  p.m. at 3140 Rosedale Road, Irwin, Ohio 43029. Continued below.

Roger D. Stewart and Lila L. Stewart (continued)

Roger and Lila will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on August 8, 2009 with an open house from 2:00 -5:00 p.m. at 3140 Rosedale Road, Irwin, Ohio 43029.  Gifts are asked to be eliminated.

They were married in Middletown, Ohio on August 6, 1949.  They are the parents of Danny Stewart of Irwin, Ohio and Lynne Stewart Whatley of Irwin, Ohio.  They have four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Roger  is presently associated with Spring Fork Farms, Inc. of Irwin, Ohio. Lila retired in 1995 after working 22 years for The Scotts Company, Marysville, Ohio.   Lila is presently the Fiscal Officer for Pike Township, Madison County; Plain City Public Library, Madison County; and Mechanicsburg Public Library, Champaign County.
